Bizzo Casino payment methods for New Zealand: Visa Debit, PayPal, Bitcoin and bank transfer with limits and speeds

Bizzo Casino takes five payment types from a New Zealand account: Visa and Mastercard debit, a direct transfer from your bank, PayPal, Neteller, and Bitcoin. Deposits start at NZ$10 on PayPal and NZ$20 on a debit card, nothing carries a casino-side fee, and the whole account runs in New Zealand dollars rather than converting to euros behind your back.

That last point matters more than it sounds. Plenty of offshore casinos hold your balance in EUR and convert twice — once on the way in, once on the way out — and you lose two or three percent without ever seeing a line item for it. Bizzo does not, which is the main reason it is worth a look from here at all.

The rest of this page is the detail: what each rail actually does, the timings we measured rather than the ones in the marketing copy, and the handful of things that reliably get a New Zealand deposit declined.

Bank rails: the New Zealand default

If you have played at an offshore casino before 2022 you will remember POLi — you picked your bank, logged in through a redirect, and the money landed instantly. POLi stopped processing New Zealand payments that year and it is not coming back. Anyone still listing it on a NZ casino page has not updated that page in four years.

What replaced it is a plain bank transfer. You get a set of account details in your cashier, you push the payment from your own banking app, and you include the reference exactly as shown. It is not instant, but it is the cheapest and least breakable rail there is. Note the floor: NZ$100, five times the card minimum, so this one is built for larger deposits rather than a quick top-up.

Timing follows your bank's payment runs, not the casino's. Send it on a weekday morning and it usually lands the same day. Send it after about 4pm on a Friday and you are waiting until Monday. All the big five — ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank and Westpac — behave the same way here; there is no bank that is meaningfully faster.

Same business day

Sent before your bank's mid-afternoon cut-off on a weekday. Weekends and public holidays do not process.

The reference is not optional

Leave it out and the payment sits in a suspense account until support matches it by hand — allow two extra days.

Same name, both ends

The account holder has to match the casino account. A joint account is fine as long as your name is on it.

Bank transfer is also the fallback when a withdrawal cannot go back the way it came — see Bizzo Casino withdrawal times for how that plays out.

E-wallets: PayPal, Neteller and crypto

Wallets are where the speed is. PayPal and Neteller both credit a deposit in seconds and both pay a withdrawal back inside 24 hours once your account is verified, which makes them the sensible choice if you are moving money in and out regularly rather than parking a lump sum.

PayPal has the lower floor at NZ$10 and the lower ceiling at NZ$3,000 a transaction. It is also the one New Zealand banks are least twitchy about, because as far as your bank is concerned you paid PayPal, not a casino. Neteller sits a step up: NZ$25 minimum, NZ$5,000 maximum, and it is the wallet Bizzo's own support team tends to recommend when someone is chasing a fast payout.

Bitcoin is the outlier. NZ$50 minimum, NZ$10,000 maximum, and the only method on the list where a fee exists at all — the network miner fee, which Bizzo does not control and does not reimburse. In exchange you get the fastest withdrawals on the site, typically one to two hours. If you already hold crypto it is a good option. If you would have to buy it first, the exchange spread will eat more than you save.

Wallet Deposit range Payout back Worth it when
PayPal NZ$10 – NZ$3,000 Within 24 hours Smaller, frequent top-ups; you want it off your bank statement
Neteller NZ$25 – NZ$5,000 Within 24 hours Mid-size balances; you already use it elsewhere
Bitcoin NZ$50 – NZ$10,000 1 – 2 hours You hold crypto already and want the fastest cash-out available

Debit cards: easiest in, slowest out

A Visa or Mastercard debit card is the method most New Zealanders reach for first, and for a first deposit it is fine — NZ$20 minimum, NZ$5,000 maximum, credited instantly. The asymmetry only shows up later: money goes on the card in seconds and comes off it in three to five business days, because a card refund has to travel back through the scheme and then wait for your bank to post it.

Use a debit card, not a credit card. Every major New Zealand bank now treats a gambling transaction on a credit card as a cash advance, which means interest from day one and a fee of around two percent on top. Some of them decline it outright. Nothing about that is Bizzo-specific — it is your card issuer's policy — but it catches people out constantly.

One quirk worth knowing: a card deposit will occasionally show as pending on your app for a day or two even though the casino has already credited it. That is an authorisation hold settling, not a duplicate charge. If you see two identical amounts and both are still pending, one of them will drop off.

Why a Bizzo Casino payment gets declined

Almost every declined deposit we have looked at was rejected by the bank, not by the casino. That is useful, because it means the fix is on your side and you can usually sort it in a couple of minutes. In rough order of how often it happens:

A gambling block is switched on

ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank and Westpac all offer a merchant-category block for gambling, and on several credit products it is on by default. It fails silently — you see "declined by issuer" and nothing else. Check it in your banking app under card controls or spending limits before you assume the casino is at fault.

The name on the card is not your name

A partner's card, a business card, a card attached to a parent's account — all rejected, and all of them will also freeze a withdrawal later. The account holder and the card holder have to be the same person.

You are over a limit you forgot about

Two of them apply at once: the casino's per-transaction ceiling for that method, and your own daily card limit. Splitting one NZ$4,000 deposit into two of NZ$2,000 fixes the second but not the first.

Verification is still outstanding

Deposits keep working while your identity check is pending, but adding a second payment method usually will not. Finish the ID upload first and the new method appears straight away.

The bank transfer reference was wrong or missing

Not technically a decline — the money leaves your account and then sits unallocated. It always resolves, but it takes support a day or two to match it manually. Copy the reference, do not retype it.

Every Bizzo Casino payment method, side by side

Limits are per transaction and in New Zealand dollars. Withdrawal column is time-to-money, not time-to-approval.

Method Min Max Deposit speed Fee Withdrawal
Visa / Mastercard debit NZ$20 NZ$5,000 Instant None 3 – 5 business days
PayPal NZ$10 NZ$3,000 Instant None Within 24 hours
Neteller NZ$25 NZ$5,000 Instant None Within 24 hours
Bitcoin NZ$50 NZ$10,000 ~10 minutes Network fee 1 – 2 hours
Bank transfer NZ$100 NZ$3,000 Same / next business day None 1 – 3 business days

How a Bizzo deposit looks on your bank statement

It does not say "Bizzo Casino". Card deposits are billed by the payment processor that handles the transaction, so what lands on your statement is that company's trading name — usually an unremarkable string of letters, sometimes with a two-letter country code after it, occasionally with a reference number. The descriptor also changes from time to time when the processor rotates, so two deposits a month apart can carry two different names.

What stays consistent is the merchant category code sitting behind it: 7995, the code for betting and gambling. You never see the number, but your bank does, and that is what a gambling block keys off. It is also why a card that works everywhere else can fail here and only here.

Practical version: if you are reconciling a transaction, match it on amount and date rather than name. If you genuinely cannot place a charge, the cashier history in your Bizzo account lists every deposit with a timestamp, and support can give you the descriptor that was used on any specific one.

Worth knowing: a bank transfer is the exception — that one shows the receiving account name exactly as it appeared in your cashier, because you typed it in yourself.

Mistakes that cost New Zealand players money

Depositing from a credit card

Cash-advance interest starts the same day and there is no grace period. A debit card costs you nothing.

Funding with a card, cashing out to crypto

Anti-money-laundering rules send the first NZ$X back the way it came. Mixing rails just adds a review step.

Leaving verification until payout day

ID checks take a day or two. Do them on day one and your first withdrawal is not the one that waits.

Depositing NZ$10 for a NZ$20 offer

PayPal lets you send NZ$10; the welcome offer still needs NZ$20 to qualify, and it is not applied retroactively.

Retrying a declined card five times

Repeat attempts trip fraud scoring. Two tries, then switch method or ring your bank.

Buying Bitcoin purely to deposit

The exchange spread and the miner fee together usually beat whatever you saved on speed.

What changed for New Zealand payments

Then Now
POLi handled most instant NZ deposits Gone since 2022 — direct bank transfer took over, and it is not instant
Credit cards worked much like debit cards Treated as cash advances by every major NZ bank; often blocked outright
Balances commonly held in EUR and converted NZ$ wallet end to end at Bizzo, no conversion either way
Verification asked for only on a big win Routine on the first withdrawal regardless of amount
Offshore sites operated in a legal grey zone indefinitely From 1 December 2026, operators without a New Zealand licence must stop serving NZ residents

The last row is the one to watch. If Bizzo's operator does not end up on the licensed list, the practical question becomes where your balance goes — which is exactly what the sister sites page is about.

Payment questions we get asked

What payment methods does Bizzo Casino accept in New Zealand?
Bizzo Casino accepts Visa and Mastercard debit cards, direct bank transfer from any New Zealand bank, PayPal, Neteller and Bitcoin. All of them are billed and paid out in New Zealand dollars, so there is no currency conversion on either side of the transaction.
Does Bizzo Casino charge fees on deposits?
No. Bizzo does not add a fee to any deposit or withdrawal method. The only charges you can run into are third-party ones: the miner fee on a Bitcoin transfer, and the cash-advance fee some New Zealand banks apply if you fund a gambling account from a credit card rather than a debit card.
Why was my Bizzo Casino deposit declined?
The most common cause in New Zealand is a bank-side gambling block — ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank and Westpac all let customers switch one on, and several apply it to credit cards by default. Other frequent causes are a card in someone else's name, an expired card, a daily card limit that has already been hit, or a first deposit that exceeds the NZ$5,000 card ceiling.
Can I still use POLi to deposit at Bizzo Casino?
No. POLi stopped processing New Zealand payments in 2022 and no longer exists as an option at any casino, Bizzo included. Direct bank transfer is the closest replacement: it draws on the same account, it just is not instant in the same way.
What is the minimum deposit at Bizzo Casino?
NZ$20 on a Visa or Mastercard debit card. PayPal starts at NZ$10, Neteller at NZ$25, Bitcoin at NZ$50 and bank transfer at NZ$100. If you are depositing to claim the welcome offer, NZ$20 is the qualifying floor.
Do I have to withdraw to the same method I deposited with?
Yes, up to the amount you deposited. This is a standard anti-money-laundering rule rather than a Bizzo quirk. Anything above your deposit total can be paid to a different method on your account, and if your original method cannot receive money — a prepaid card, for example — the balance is routed to bank transfer.
How does a Bizzo deposit show up on my bank statement?
Not as "Bizzo Casino". Card deposits appear under the payment processor's trading name with a merchant category code for gambling, usually something generic followed by a country code. If you are trying to reconcile a transaction, match it on the amount and the date rather than the name.
Are Bizzo Casino deposits instant?
Cards, PayPal and Neteller credit within seconds. Bank transfer depends on your bank's payment run — same-day if you send it on a business morning, next business day if you send it late on a Friday. Bitcoin needs one network confirmation, which is usually around 10 minutes.
